Blackout Software LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates IntelQuest. This policy describes how we handle your information.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information. We do not collect your real name, email address, IP address, physical address, or payment details on our servers.

Authentication

Sign-in is handled entirely by third-party providers (Apple and Discord). We receive only an opaque, anonymous identifier from these providers. We never receive or store your email, password, or profile information from these services.

What We Store

Our servers store: anonymous account identifiers (randomly generated UUIDs), in-game character names (game pseudonyms only), gameplay analytics and telemetry data, and subscription status. None of this data can be used to identify you as a real person.

Payment Processing

Payments are handled by Apple (for iOS in-app purchases) and Stripe (for web/desktop purchases). These processors handle your payment identity. Our servers only receive confirmation of subscription status — we never see your payment details, billing address, or financial information.

Data Security

All data transmitted between your devices and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3 with mutual authentication (mTLS). Telemetry data is additionally encrypted with AES-256-GCM. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect the data we store.

Telemetry Data We Collect

When you use IntelQuest, the desktop application generates gameplay telemetry data including but not limited to: combat statistics, zone activity, character actions, and other in-game events. This data is transformed into anonymized analytical events before being transmitted to our servers. No raw third-party protocol data is ever sent to our servers.

Data Ownership & Use

By using IntelQuest, you grant Blackout Software LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, aggregate, analyze, and distribute any telemetry data generated through your use of the service. This data is anonymized and cannot be traced to any individual. We may use this aggregated data for any purpose, including but not limited to: improving IntelQuest, building new features and services, generating aggregated analytics and statistical reports, and providing data-driven products or services to third parties. No individually identifiable data will ever be sold or shared — only aggregated, anonymous datasets.

Data Retention

We retain telemetry data and aggregated statistics for as long as necessary to operate and improve our services. Account data (anonymous UUIDs and subscription status) is retained for the lifetime of the account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Apple Sign-In (authentication), Discord OAuth (authentication), Apple In-App Purchase (payment processing), Stripe (payment processing), and Sentry (anonymous error reporting — no personal data included).

Children's Privacy

IntelQuest is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Since we store no personally identifiable information, there is no personal data to export.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of IntelQuest, operated by Blackout Software LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By using IntelQuest, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

IntelQuest is a software application that provides real-time gameplay analytics, telemetry, and companion features. The service consists of a desktop application and an iOS companion application.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use IntelQuest. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Account

You may create an account using third-party authentication providers (Apple or Discord). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials with those providers. We do not store passwords.

4. Third-Party Software and Services

Use of IntelQuest may interact with third-party software, games, or online services that have their own terms of service, end-user license agreements, or acceptable use policies. It is your sole responsibility to review and comply with the terms of any third-party software or service you use alongside IntelQuest. We make no representations regarding the compatibility of IntelQuest with any third-party terms of service. Blackout Software LLC is not responsible for any consequences arising from your use of IntelQuest in connection with third-party software or services, including but not limited to account actions, suspensions, or bans imposed by third-party providers.

5. User-Generated Telemetry Data

By using IntelQuest, you acknowledge that the service generates telemetry data from your gameplay activity. You grant Blackout Software LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to collect, store, aggregate, analyze, distribute, and otherwise use this telemetry data for any purpose. This includes, without limitation, the right to use aggregated and anonymized data to build, operate, and monetize current and future products and services, including those that do not yet exist. All telemetry data is anonymized prior to storage and cannot be used to identify any individual user. You waive any claims to ownership of telemetry data transmitted to our servers.

6. Subscriptions and Payment

IntelQuest offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. Payments made through the iOS app are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's terms. Payments made through other platforms are processed by Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled according to the policies of the applicable payment processor (Apple or Stripe).

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the IntelQuest software; use IntelQuest to harass, stalk, or harm other users; redistribute, resell, or sublicense IntelQuest; attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or other users' accounts; or use IntelQuest for any unlawful purpose.

8. Intellectual Property

IntelQuest, including its software, design, and branding, is the intellectual property of Blackout Software LLC. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved. IntelQuest does not claim ownership of any third-party intellectual property. All third-party trademarks, trade names, and logos are the property of their respective owners.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

IntelQuest is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any data or analytics provided by the service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blackout Software LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of IntelQuest, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access to third-party services, account actions taken by third parties, or any other damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Blackout Software LLC, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of IntelQuest or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to IntelQuest at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Blackout Software LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of IntelQuest after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
